Transmutation is a tale of conflict between good and evil, which plays out both on Earth and a forest planet of Mandra. The evil, personified in the form of Hemonra, a man deified by an alien being, has the power to grant his followers the desires of their heart, in return for their soul. The good, Manonra, a woman, also deified but has the power to heal and guide humanity towards accepting their fallibility
