Three brand new viola pieces

Over the last month, July 2020, I composed 3 pieces for viola for the wonderful viola virtuoso Brett Douglas Deubner. All three pieces were composed in memory of my late brother Amir Madani…yes we do spell our surname differently – a long and boring topic!

Amir died suddenly two years ago, leaving a vacuum that has been impossible to fill. He also left with unresolved conflict and never quite got over his breakup with his girlfriend many years ago. Casing point here, is that life is too short and we need to make the best of what we have, putting the past behind us.
