The Capaldi Hotel – Atlas mountains, Marrakesh

Another visit to Morocco, this time Marrakesh and a short stay at the wonderful Capaldi hotel run by Mr + Mrs Ed Lyle, shown in the photograph below left with a view of the Capaldi hotel.

The Capaldi is a boutique hotel at the base of the anti-atlas mountains.

Both Ed and Tara are wonderful hosts, and have somehow managed to blend Western tastes with Moroccon architecture. The staff are very attentive and more than happy to please the customers. Suffices to say, Jo and I felt very at home and thoroughly spoilt

What a perfect venue for a composer to taste the beauty of the Berber culture, whilst maintaining one’s western roots.
