To fans of Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck, this film I am sure is either on your list to watch, or you have it in your DVD collection. I am happy to say the latter.
The plot unwinds beautifully as the film progresses, with great acting from both the stars and the supporting actors. If you haven’t seen the film, and you are a fan of the above two actors as well as Hitchcock, this film is a must see.
The interplay between the two stars is beautiful. The intensity of their acting is so masterful, one cannot imagine that its driven by a script.
The score for the film was composed by the great Miklos Rosca. Creating just the right balance of consonance and dissonance in the places one would expect from a Hitchcock film.
Rosca’s signature motif’s are there just as you would expect from this great composer, in perfect synchronicity with the images of the film.
All in all this film gets a 10/10 for me and is one of my all time favourites.
