From Amizmiz to the Atlas mountains

Latifa Asselouf, a beautiful gentle lady from Amizmiz, a small town near Marrakesh, took my wife Jo and I on a lovely walk through the base of the atlas mountains. The terrain was undulating, with some steep drops that were tricky for me, however, the views were worth the effort.

We walked and walked and Latifa kept us entertained sharing stories about life in Morocco and the Berber way of life. We went through several Berber villages and all the locals were friendly and very hospitable. So, if you happen to stay at the Hotel Capaldi outside Marakesh, a guided walk with Latifa is must.
