It certainly does what it ‘says on the tin’ – a fusion of Eastern and Western Classical Music. The medieval melismas and sometimes slightly piquant harmonies all add to this unusual, yet captivating confection. The two ‘Arias for….’ bring an Andrew Lloyd Webber / Les Misérables element to the mix on CD – all enhanced by Christine’s wistfully expressive singing.
