My Brother

Generally people don’t openly say too

much about themselves,as this is private.
However, I feel I do need to say something
about my dear brother Anjum. He has played a major part
in my musical development too…

When we were both very young, my brother took me everywhere with him, even when he went to see his friends….much to their surprise. If any of his friends picked on me, he would rebuke them saying “don’t pick on my little brother”.

During quiet moments, he would gently make suggestions about how I could better spend my time or perhaps what I should apply myself to. Of course back then, I didn’t implement any of it. However, very much in line with the film “Inception”, the idea took hold somewhere deep in my subconscious, and as I got older I realised, that all the gems of advice he gave me, were bearing fruit.
