Vespasian and the II Augusta

Inspired the books of Robert Fabbri, I composed a short tone poem called “Vespasian and the II Augusta” written to commemorate the Invasion of Britain in AD43 by the Roman army during the reign of Emperor Claudius.
Vespasian excelled in his duties as legate of the II Augusta and many years later in AD69 rose to Emperor in the famous year of the 4 Emperors, thereby establishing the Flavian dynasty.
